THEATRE/IMPROV– Wednesdays 5:15-6:15 

Using storytelling, pantomime, improvisation and theatre games, students will work on creative expression, tone, problem-solving, presentation, and collaborative skills. This workshop is designed to challenge and inspire students to stretch their brains and limits. A great class for both the seasoned performer and those new to the world of theatre who are looking to try it out.

Taught by Meredith Charles. $320/semester.

Classes will be September 14, 2022 through January 18, 2023.

Meredith Charles

Drama

Meredith Charles is a teacher, performer, and arts advocate with over 25 years of experience. She has taught all ages from toddlers to adults, and enjoys sharing her joy and knowledge of theater with her students. She is a strong believer in low-risk theatre opportunities for everyone, where the focus is on creative expression and trying something new, rather than an end product. Her wish is for people to trust in themselves and their creative abilities and see what develops. She is the owner and creative director of a local drama enrichment business, Drama Out of the Box, which offers classes, assemblies, artist in residence opportunities and workshops related to the areas of improvisation, curriculum-based theater experiences, professional development, creative drama and puppetry.

Fun Fact: Meredith is a member of the popular Off Brand Improv Comedy Troupe and enjoys making and hearing people laugh.
