Creative Drama
LITTLE SHAKESPEARES – Wednesdays, 1 to 1:45
This program is designed especially for preschool aged children, and explores creative expression, with a link to literature. Classes begin with a story, and through the ideas of participants and guidance from the instructor, children create and build their ideas using the story as a jumping off point. A wonderful way to help young children develop a love of books and collaborative nature with others. Taught by drama educator Meredith Charles. $120/semester, half-price for those enrolled in Little Mozarts. Library.
CREATIVE DRAMA FOR HOMESCHOOLERS – Wednesdays, 2 to 3
Using storytelling, pantomime, improvisation, and theater games, students will work on creative expression, tone, problem-solving, presentation, and collaborative skills. Taught by drama educator Meredith Charles. $180/semester, siblings half price, or half price if combined with the Shakespeare History class. Library.
SHAKESPEARE HISTORY & PERFORMANCE – Wednesdays, 3 to 4
Do you know the Bard? In this class we will explore the life and times of William Shakespeare, and jump into a few of his more famous works. This class will be a fun and interactive romp into Shakespeare’s world, with many opportunities to perform his words in scenes and soliloquies. Taught by drama educator Meredith Charles. $180/semester, siblings half price, or half price if combined with the Creative Drama class. Library.
